Color Flake Epoxy has become the standard in garage flooring as well as a great flooring surface for many other applications. Our Color Flake System may look similar to some other coating systems installed by other company's but side by side there is no comparison.With over a million square feet of this system installed and zero failures, we are confident that our system is the best available anywhere. We offer this attractive coating system in 15 standard colors to match almost any decor but in the instance that a special color blend is desired, we can provide that also. Our Color Flake System consists of four layers of product installed over concrete that has been professionally prepared using industrial dust-free grinding systems. Preparation: One of the most important steps to a lasting floor is preparation. Be wary of acid washing and shot blasting, these methods could cause more harm than good. The proper method is to diamond grind. Diamond grinding will profile the concrete (without leaving "cornrows" like shot blasting) as well as help to level high and low spots. Epoxy: The next step is to apply the epoxy, not all epoxies are created equal and some are not much more than a two part paint (water based) that has a high failure rate, our epoxy however are a 70-100% solids epoxy that have stood the test of time. The epoxy is the foundation of the floor and definitely not a place for compromise. Flake: When the colorflake is added the floor it provides most of its color as well as a slight texture, this is also why most floors look similar. Don't be fooled! The chips do not make the floor strong or last long, all of the other factors do. Thats why similar looking floors can have drastically different life spans. Top Coats: The next two coatings are a clear coats, these top coatings are what really sets us apart from the competition, we strongly feel our top coats are the best available today. It simply does not stain or yellow and is resistant to any chemical/fluid found in a normal home or automobile. We apply two layers of this coating instead of one ,simply because it makes for a better looking, stronger floor that will guarantee many years of enjoyment. |
